The First Few Years

I’m often approached by practitioners in their first or second year of practice wondering how to manage their careers.

My advice is always the same.

The focus of the first three to four years as a solicitor is to gain experience and a level of competence in the practice of law. Once you have experience and competence you will then start to gain some control over your career.
